How does Thermal Printing Work?
Thermal papers record media when exposed to heat from the thermal printer's head. Thermal papers are specially coated with chemicals composed of resins and dye, which change color when subjected to temperatures beyond a certain level.
The heat of a thermal printer causes a thermal reaction with the chemicals, which then changes color and creates clear images. While black is the most commonly used color, thermal printing can also be used to print colored images.
