I had mine in the same pot three years and I believe it is rootbound. I was also shopping on abodelook at the DIY supplies and gardening tools to create a little weekend project. For proper christmas cactus care, do they need super well-draining succulent soil, or should it be a bit more "leafy"? I would not like to root rot just before the growing season begins.
