Planning custom curtains for the first time and it's a lot more than picking a fabric I like, apparently. Turns out header style, width, length, and lining all need to work together — pinch pleats need way more fabric than eyelets, and the lining changes depending on how much light control you actually need. Also looking at window blinds for the kitchen since curtains felt impractical near the stove, but keeping curtains for the bedroom and living room. Went in for a consultation and they walked through fabric, header, and fitting as one thing instead of separate decisions, which made more sense than I expected. Used Kingdom of Curtains since their display was closest to me on MG Road. Curious if others did blinds + curtains mix in their homes too, or just picked one.
