Just moved into a high-rise and the amount of light coming through my windows is honestly intense compared to my old ground floor flat. Learned pretty quickly that a single curtain layer wasn't cutting it, so now I'm looking at doing sheers for daytime glare plus a heavier curtain for evenings, which apparently is pretty standard for floor-to-ceiling type windows. Also considering blackout for the bedroom since the morning sun at this height is no joke. Went to a curtain store near me since I wanted someone who actually understood the whole floor-to-ceiling measurement thing, not just standard window sizes. Kingdom of Curtains offers free doorstep measurement which felt necessary given how different this window setup is from what I'm used to. Anyone else totally underestimate how much stronger the light gets higher up?
