Our house has exposed timber beams in the living room and a sloped section over the stairs, and standard rods don’t work anywhere. A ceiling track is blocked by one beam, and the sloped window can’t take a hanging curtain at all. I’m thinking a track fixed just below the beam for the vertical window, and a made-to-measure shade for the slope. Does that sound sensible for window curtains and blinds together? I’m also unsure whether the beams are structural enough to fix into. Kingdom of Curtains does free doorstep measurement and installation across Delhi NCR, so I may get them to check on site first. Any tips from people with beamed ceilings?
